Key Performance Indicators reflecting steady improvement at Aurangabad

Over the last quarter all the key performance indicators have shown a steady improvement for the pilot site at Aurangabad. The most noteworthy is the AT&C loss figure that dipped from a staggering 26% to below 15% (monthly basis) and still improving. The annualized AT&C losses are hovering just above 19%. Transformer failure rates are at an all time low (below 2%) and gradually creeping towards the target zero mark. These have been made possible by the all out teamwork of MSEDCL officials at Aurangabad under the able leadership of Mr. K. J. Sirsikar, Chief Engineer, Aurangabad Circle.

The technical projects earmarked for the Division are also nearing completion. 8 of the 11 proposed substations are already in place. There has been a steady improvement with respect to the reliability and availability of power in this division. Initiatives have been launched to create a mechanism for continuous evaluation of consumer satisfaction. Creation of state of the art consumer care centers with modern facilities and conveniences are being mulled.

In a nutshell, the DRUM pilot project at Aurangabad is justifying the concept of ‘Centre of Excellence’.
