DRUM initiative is seen as the stepping-stone for institutionalized arrangements for sustainable capacity building in distribution, the following relationship matrix is envisaged:

DRUM program assumes significance for the reason that it provides vehicle for capacity building of stakeholders in distribution business development. For institutionalizing the efforts such that the training programs get implemented on a long term sustainable basis, Power Finance Corporation has been made the Implementing partner, which will help to reinforce inter stakeholders' coordination and relationship for optimum utilization of resources that will in turn improve the institutional capacity and capability of the utilities and training institutions in stakeholders development.
There are two programs under DRUM Training
(i) Short Term Courses, catering to all the listed themes, which are mostly five days residential programs conducted by partner Training Institutions spread across the country.
(ii) 15 months Post Graduate Executive MBA program with specialization in Distribution, conducted by MDI, Gurgaon.
