About the Program:
The process of reforming the Energy and Power sector in India has reached a crucial level and experts are expecting acceleration in the process of reforms in the future. It is therefore necessary to build a cadre of young managers who would take the reforms to newer heights. In order to cope with the new realities and changing contours of the Energy sector, MDI launched its 15 month PG Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM): Energy Management course in collaboration with Ministry of Power, Government of India and USAID.
Eligibility:
- A minimum of 3 years Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE as eligible for Post-Graduate Studies in Management.
- Minimum 5 years of post qualification executive work experience in the Power sector in central/state/private/other industries.
- For self sponsored candidates age is not more than 32 years.
- For sponsored candidates age is not more than 45 years.
Admission Procedure:
Sponsored Candidates:
- Sponsored candidates have to forward their applications through the respective Organisations.
- All sponsored candidates must submit a letter sponsorship from the employer/sponsor confirming that the organization will sponsor the candidate and pay his/her course fee and other expenses by the due date. This letter must be submitted at least one month before the date of joining.
- Sponsored candidates have to appear in MDI Admission Test (MDI AT) to be held on 17th February, 2008 (Sunday). Tentative test centres are Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore.
- GD/ Interview will be held at the respective test centres on 18th February, 2008.
Self Sponsored candidates:
- All self sponsored candidates have to appear in the MDI Admission Test (MDI AT) to be held on 17th February, 2008 (Sunday). Tentative test centres are Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore.
- GD/Interview will be held at the respective test centres on 18th February, 2008.
MDI Application Form: MDI application form along with prospectus would be available for sale on payment of Rs.1,500/- in favour of ‘Management Development Institute’ payable at New Delhi.
Application form along with brochure will be available on 4th October, 2007 onwards.
